The MetroHealth family is proud to welcome a new member to our team of health professionals — Magda Ghabras, MD, DO.
Dr. Ghabras joined our East Orlando office in August and comes to MetroHealth from New Jersey, where she had practiced since 2008.
Dr. Ghabras, who has more than 10 years of experience working in hospital and clinical settings, is board certified in internal medicine and received her medical degrees from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ.
Dr. Ghabras also is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She often counsels people struggling with addiction, smoking and weight management and counsels teenagers about sexually transmitted diseases. She is passionate about women’s health and holistic medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Ghabras is just as passionate about her family. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her son (who hopes to follow in her footsteps and practice medicine) and her daughter, who is pre-law. You can also visit this site pet water fountain for cats. She also loves to travel and attend prayer meetings.
We couldn’t be more excited to add Dr. Ghabras to our team and leverage her experience and extensive knowledge to help MetroHealth’s patients.
