Beatriz Arango, P.A. is a Physician Assistant attending to patients at Metro Health’s Downtown and East Orlando offices. A native of Colombia, she attained dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Quindio. From there, she went on to attain a medical degree from the Technological University of Pereira.
Beatriz and her family relocated from Colombia to South Florida in 1990. There, she became a licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Florida and worked for more than 20 years in a general family practice setting. She moved to Orlando and joined the Metro Health team in 2011.
For Beatriz Arango, helping people is a way of life. She looks forward to meeting with her patients every day. When she is not counseling patients at the office, she enjoys volunteering her services through Shepherd’s Hope, a not-for-profit organization that provides health care for those in need.
“Live the simple life” is Beatriz’ motto. She spends as much time as possible with her four children and two grandchildren. She is an avid reader, and enjoys learning about subjects such as homeopathic medicine and spiritual growth. In a former life, she was a keen chess player, though she no longer claims to be.
