Dr. Arif’s academic journey started at Sulaimani College of Medicine, Sulaimani City, Iraq, where he obtained his MD degree in June 1999. He has been an active member of various professional societies, including the American Academy of Neurology, the Academy of Clinical Research Professions just to name a few. His professional experience is marked by a comprehensive residency program in internal medicine, at St. Mary Med Ctr-Langhorne-PA/Internal Medicine program.

Dr. Arif’s dedication and work ethic have been evident throughout his training, where he consistently demonstrated his commitment to patient care and medical excellence. Dr. Arif’s career also includes significant contributions to clinical research. From September 2015 to May 2020, he served as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute in Houston, TX. In this role, he managed participant visits, overseeing various aspects of clinical trials, including patient histories, concomitant medications, clinical scales, ECGs, patient eligibility, and adverse event reporting. Dr. Arif’s contributions were instrumental in advancing research in Parkinson’s Disease and related conditions.

His dedication to research continued with roles as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, TX. Dr. Arif actively participated in clinical trials, contributing to research on Parkinson’s Disease, stable angina, and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Arif’s commitment to expanding his medical knowledge led to observations in the field of neurology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Arif’s research work includes publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at the American Academy of Neurology’s 65th Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA, USA.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Dr. Arif finds balance in life through his hobbies and interests. He is an avid reader, with a particular passion for science books and novels. In his free time, he enjoys biking and playing soccer, activities that rejuvenate his mind and body. Dr. Arif’s is committed to medical excellence, dedication to patient care, and contributions to clinical research showcase his passion for making a positive impact in the field of medicine and improving the lives of patients.
