Meet Our Care Providers

Born in Detroit, Michigan, Colin Watts graduated from Wayne State University—School of Medicine, completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the DMC/WSU Sinai-Grace Hospital’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. He transitioned to Florida to work as a Hospitalist & Nocturnist for the Orlando Health and AdventHealth Systems, which provided him with ample experience in providing the appropriate healthcare necessary for elderly patients and nursing home residents.

Colin’s passion for science initially led to his planning a career in medicine as a student while still in high school. Throughout his academic studies, he was continually amazed at how physicians were able to methodically diagnose patients, and he wanted to do the same one day. His attraction to the structure and function of the human body are what ultimately motivated him to become a doctor.

As an undergraduate, Colin volunteered with the Karmanos Cancer Institute, where he had the opportunity to offer an extra dimension of care to first-time cancer patients. As part of the Institution’s Clinical Volunteer Support Program, he helped cancer patients and their families make their clinical visits a more welcoming and comfortable experience. This type of one-on-one patient contact has proven invaluable as he has treated patients throughout his medical career.

When not practicing medicine, Colin enjoys motorsports, cooking and playing chess.

Being able to provide his patients with the best medical care his expertise has to offer is by far his favorite part about what he does. All of his past experiences have collectively allowed him the skills and knowledge necessary to continually excel.
